Buyer and tender considerations
US enterprise vendor-risk reviews and RFPs often specify ISO 27001, SOC 2, or both. Some public-sector and government-adjacent contracts specify a particular accreditation requirement — confirm your buyer's exact requirement before choosing a certification route, and see below for how our two accreditation routes compare.
CCI issues certificates under our own IAR-112 accreditation, and can also coordinate certification through our partner certification body for buyers who specifically require a Global ACI MRA (formerly IAF MLA) signatory accreditation. Is CCI accredited in the United States?
Company Certification LLC (USA) is accredited by International Accreditation Registrar (IAR), USA — accreditation No. IAR-112, operating to ISO/IEC 17021-1:2015. Every certificate is independently verifiable online.
ISO 27001 or SOC 2 — which do we need?
It depends on your buyer. SOC 2 is an attestation report common with US SaaS/cloud customers; ISO 27001 is a formal, internationally structured certification. Some organizations pursue both. Tell us your buyer's requirement and we can advise.
Can our audit be fully remote?
Often yes, subject to IAF MD 4 criteria and your scope — we'll confirm the right mix of remote and on-site audit time when we scope your certification.
