How does it work?
Our remote audits are conducted in accordance with IAF MD 4: Use of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) for Auditing/Assessment Purposes.
Step 1: Planning
Our team discusses your requirements and the technology available, so we can agree the right approach — including whether any part of the audit needs to happen on-site.
Step 2: Test
Where needed, we run a technology test with you before the audit, so the day itself goes smoothly.
Step 3: Remote audit
On the agreed date, we carry out the audit using tools such as video conferencing, screen sharing and document sharing to gather evidence of how your management system operates.
Step 4: After the remote audit
We share our findings with you in a report. Where a certification decision follows, it goes through CCI's standard independent technical review process.
Step 5: Follow-up
Where nonconformities are raised, we review corrective action remotely wherever the evidence allows it — otherwise, a further on-site visit may be required.
